Ubuntu Village for All
The Ubuntu Village for all aims to provide a physical space for immigrants and refugees, their families and their existing and/or emerging organizations to gather and learn. In order to enhance the quality of life of the communities we serve, the Village will implement a multi-dimensional approach utilizing the following strategies:
Bridge gaps in services
Build Capacity for organizations
Network to find solutions
Provide direct and referral services
Advocate with and for people served
The word "ubuntu" means compassion and humanity. To us at IRRVA, the heart of a village lives within the people. It is a place where purpose is established, relationships are strengthened, creativity is nurtured, and identity is reinforced". The idea of a Village is one of:
Solidarity
Culture
Strength
Leadership
